The Motorola F3 is one of the very few phones with a e-ink screen and very simple. Since I am a phone enthusiast I had to buy this some years ago. However since it uses a proprietary jack for connectivity, it made me curious to see what it was.
Wikipedia says its a 2.5 mm mono jack inside but that made me wonder how to connect a headset to it. The official S215 pedestrian kit (number CFLN6103AA) isn’t easily available anymore so I looked just yet into charging it. Polarity is normal so plus on the top side. Audio out may come later. The end result looks like this:
The official charger tip is 2.8 x 0.8 mm but it also accepts the 2.5 x 0.8 mm plug from my HAMA SMP-2000A universal AC/DC Adaptor. The two pin headset output hasn’t been investigated yet. Remember that the voltage of the charger is 6.4 volt and the charger delivers 200mA. The original Motorola BD50 battery with 750 mAh is available online.
thanks for voltage characteristics!!!!!!
